The 990 SPX delivers semi-auto convenience paired with a host of highly functional tactical components. Inside, the 990's durable gas system, corrosion-resistant internal parts and finish, plus an enlarged, beveled loading port, an elongated elevator, and an anodized follower combine for smooth operation. Outside, the adjustable SGA stock allows incremental length-of-pull flexibility, and a tactical forend with an integrated heat shield and multiple mounting slots and ports provides accessory flexibility. The optic-ready cut receiver comes equipped with a rear ghost ring sight plate paired with the winged front fiber optic sight. The cut allows direct mounting of RMSc footprint micro dots-with additional adapter plates provided to accommodate other popular optic formats.

Federal law requires that you be 21 years or age or older to purchase a stripped receiver or frame. If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver not a handgun or long gun. However, they still are "firearms" by definition, and subject to the same GCA limitations as any other firearms. See Section 921(a)(3)(b). 18 U.S.C. Section 922(b)(1) makes it unlawful for a licensee to sell any firearm other than a shotgun or rifle to any person under the age of 21.
